I don't know what you want to do, but odds are that if you don't know scripting, you don't want to put your map in custom mode.

I really believe that they should do something else than just funny "loading" texts. Those have been existing since eons and aren't quite as cool as they used to be.

enable/disable fullscreen and/or v-sync (find what's the best on your PC), close every other software, disable far bg, go to the task manager and set SFD to high priority, and finally, upgarde your PC to something better than a toaster

Gathering real player's input could also be a possiblity, since SFD is a game with a very diverse gameplay. Bots wouldn't need to be clever, they just need to act as a player, even a retarded one.

You can remove them on spawn, but I don't think it'll fix any performance issue.
