[DONE] Major feature: Player accounts

-You will sign up on our main website, mythologicinteractive.com.
-When logged in, you will be able to buy and download the full version of SFD and hopefully future games we make.
-The SFD launcher will have a login window. You'll need to login to use any online features, but there will also be an offline mode.
-You will still be able to change your character name in-game, but others will be able to see your account name by highlighting your character in the scoreboard. This is to prevent impersonation.
-Accounts will also enable us to identify abusive players and ban them from the game more permanently.
-With the planned map sharing feature, map authors will be identified by their user account.
-You will unlock more customization items by completing certain challenges in the game; these will be tied to your account.

So are u saying the full version of SFD has to be paid to play. If so how much do u think it it and will I still be allowed to play the pre alpha the one I'm playing right now. When the full version of SFD is out will I still be able to play the pre alpha cause I have the money to buy the game but I don't have a card or anything only cash. I don't want my parents to find out about me buying by myself or they'll make A BIG FUSS about it and like ground me from PC forever (trust me I did it once and now I can't play on weekdays)

Stop begging about the paid version, guys. Hopefully we, the followers of Pre-Alpha get a free version. And what would you do if you wanted to make money from games? Didn't charge any money from them? The devs want to charge the money from the game and you can't change it.
Look at this scheme:
Job/Games>Money>Food etc./Everything for Survival on civilizated Earth/Spare money

You're right, notice how they don't update so active, they need to pay their rent, food to live, many more..
They don't spend their lives playing on their computers everyday.

i mean i really like this game it has so much potential i can see it as a good game the next 5 years when its complete and i really want to keep playing it i just hope that pre alpha followers get a free version

Even if you've played the game early (which we appreciate) I don't think it's fair to expect the game for free.

We'd like to release an ambitious game like SFD every 2 years instead of every 5+ years, but that won't happen unless people are willing to pay for them. Like most indie games, the complete SFD won't cost you much more than a meal in a restaurant, which I think is reasonable for hundreds of hours of non-repetitive entertainment. We want to try to get the game on Steam and maybe other platforms, and we're thinking about crowdfunding the finalization of the game too.

Right now though, we're focused on getting the game playable for more people, which is why we're prioritizing the dedicated server software.

Do you honestly think they've been working for 2+ years with the intention of making it free? The asking price is fair as it's on par with similar indie games.

I can agree with the having to buy the game after completion, and player accounts will help a lot to combat people avoiding bans through changing their IP.

I, for one, would be happy to pay for this game in order to support the devs. It takes a lot of work to make a game, and to get it for free just seems silly to me.

I love this game because it stays true to the developers' words: Every moment is different and funny. I would buy it as long as it's under $15, as my mom won't let me spend more. ;-;

PEOPLE THIS GAME IS MADE WITH BLOOD AND SWEAT. THE DEVELOPERS NEED MULA TO CONTINUE MAKING THIS GAME BETTER AND BETTER. Charging SFD will (hopefuly) filter out a toxic part of the community. Think about it. Moreover, i'm not sure that any one of you would be happy to give something you spend YEARS working on it, for free.

All in all, it's good that the developers finally get out of the game what they put into it. I think that charging a price for it is a fine idea, and I look forward to the full version.

The number of server of course will be divided by 5.
I have a question, I play on my computer once the dining room because the connection is best to put my server when I get the opportunity or on my laptop to create maps, is that n will pay once the game (without using steam) and put it on another computer ?
