Taking a shot for an ally As it is for now,when diving a player,every shot that gets to you is directed to the dived player (If I'm not mistaken). Well,as you said,there already is a dive function to prevent fall damage.
Plus,this object would be pretty specific to a situation and a map. There are really few maps involving a jump big enough to make this object usefull,and even in those cases,a dive would be much more preferable.
