Re: [REQUEST] Script to remove random crits
I actually couldn't do edits to the script directly, i had to save it as something else first. [...] What I do is subscribe to the script on the Workshop, open it in the Map Editor, copy the script off the Script tab and paste it into a new text document. I name it whatever I want then unsubscribe ...

Re: [REQUEST] A script to re-enable debris collision with players
Any newly created object containing the word "Debris" in it is automatically made a missile, and anything damaged by the specified damage types will be affected too. Does this mean if I'm using ObjectDamageType.Impact it doesn't matter whether the object is in the Debris category or not, it will st...

Re: [REQUEST] A script to re-enable debris collision with players
Here's my attempt: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2377711700 Holy shit, it works! Just interrupted my opponent's attack by kicking a bucket and a piece of table into them! Incredible! This is such a non-intrusive change I could not even tell whether the script was working or...

[REQUEST] A script to re-enable debris collision with players
EDIT: The script was made thanks to Ol1vver ! Download it here . --- Pre-Alpha Update 1.10.0 - also dubbed the Weapon Throwing Update, in which item throwing was introduced to the game - had one particular feature I really liked: little pieces of debris (such as wooden chips and metal shrapnel) ph...

Re: Requesting: Script to set Manual Weapon damages
I don’t know much coding either, but I don’t think the game knows how to differentiate between different weapon projectiles. I was under the assumption most Hardcore scripts were based around setting different player health values whenever certain conditions were met (using ply.GetHealth and ply.Set...

Re: Why does PlaySound have a worldPosition argument?
I'm not very familiar with the Map Editor functions but I imagine you can use PlaySound as a source of ambient noise in specific areas like the boiler room in Hotel or Steamship which produces a buzzing sound as you get into it. Probably the same with wave sounds as you walk onto the deck etc.

Re: Critique of Consumable Slow-Motion in SFD
Could you provide me with the script that allows me to disable it? Hey, I managed to find a backup of my scripts. I've removed my previous post so this is going to look like a bump. The script removes both Slow-mo variants and also the Speed/Strength Boost powerups. If you want to keep the latter, ...

Re: Old Melee was Better - Analysed Proof
Tell me you wouldn't rather have thrilling melee like this https://media3.giphy.com/media/12XMGIWtrHBl5e/200.gif Some of the worst memories created from this game stem from having to play like this against all these sweaty-ass, self-proclaimed SFD “pros” in melee combat scenarios. Thank God the gam...

Re: Critique of Consumable Slow-Motion in SFD
As briefly mentioned above, due to a game holding up to 8 players, when Slow Motion is activated, there will be individuals feeling the effects of the slow motion, but receiving none of the benefits from it. Thus, two random players fighting one another will be forced to slow down for an entire 5 o...

[...] Hopefully you don't find this reply as an attack rather than an opinion. I haven't insulted anyone here so I don't feel like a ban would be justified. Re: Antonikon has open-sourced his hardcore script!!
I remember we removed @Antonikon’s thread advertising the script a few years ago because it never contained the actual script. It was a big scandal back then; guess it’s time to write that thread again? ;)

You're still allowed to create threads for your maps and scripts on the forum, as it has always been. The forum was here way before the Steam Workshop and SFDMaps.

You can refer to the pinned texture creation guide to see what sprites you need to include in order to provide a complete texture pack for your weapons.

Re: Controls Config
I've made a comprehensible guide to my own control scheme in this thread. It's a bit unconventional but is very same-keyboard co-op friendly and has helped me play the original SF and also SFD over the last 6 or so years.

Re: Gun Creator
While I understand you're suggesting custom skins appear in game in addition to the original, I don't think that feature is necessary. Creating and applying custom weapon skins is already very simple, the whole point of doing that is to not have to see the original sprite. I don't feel having multip...

Would like the input of at least one other Linux user who found this method useful so I can pin the thread for better visibility and access.
