I do agree with the things you suggested, just not the fact an AI should control the player while they're gone, if that makes sense. I mean, it's probably better to have a bot playing around than an afk guy. Also, there's a sort of "unbalance" whenever you return from being afk mid-match - usually ...

The same thing you'd gain from cheating - the satisfaction of beating other players without having to work hard for it. But again, a simple [AFK] tag next to their name, or a name/colour change, whatever, would do the trick. Or not counting the wins/losses towards the final score. It would help tho...

honestly you have to figure something out about the forced server side gameplay (for players with high ping). there are very little to no hosts from SEA and there are plenty of players from SEA in sfd, we get about 200+ ping in every servers and it's very unplayable now that server side movement is...

My philosophy has always been to “enable instead of disable”. Instead of disabling the skilled opponent, why don’t we enable the weaker opponent? This way the skill gap isn’t lowered to nothing. Yeah, that's just the scarf.

Also, I'm guessing a kevlar vest would completely cover your back...right now it's just a bulletproof apron.
