Game is running... (not really)
My friend is trying to play the game (on his new computer, which apparently has lower specs than his previous one). He says it won't open no matter what he tries, and it displays a message like the game is running, even though it is not. He has a Radeon RX 580 for vídeo card and AMd Ryzen 7 1800X 8-core processor. He tried to verify the game integrity and reinstall multiple times. Any idea what could be the cause?

To give you more specifics you need to provide the actual message / error message here.
I would start with verifying that the required .NET framework is installed properly. It's included in some versions of windows, some not. Depends on what Windows version he's running. Try to repair the .NET framework installation and make sure XNA 4.0 is installed properly.

He installed, reinstalled and repaired all versions of .NET framework, direct X and all other applications of this kind we could think of. He installed previous versions of the game (alpha and beta) since I had old setups on my PC for him to install these resources anyways, but even the old versions didn't work for him. We tried to reinstall the game, clear the cache, check the game integrity and some other stuff. Yet, he claims sfd is the one and only game his pc can't run for some reason. The only other thing we didn't try is to download a virtual machine, which is what he might do soon. I'll tell if that had any result.

You can also try to run the included "SFD.PlayNAudioTest.exe" in the installation folder. It does not rely upon XNA 4.0 to be installed. That way you can verify that the .NET framework is working properly. Also check the windows event logs and see if anything relevant shows up at the time you try to start SFD.
