[CANCELLED] Planned feature: Tazer

Planned feature: Tazer

This is a stretch goal and might not appear in the finished game at all.

Shots out electrical wires and electrocutes the opponent.

- Limited range weapon (simiar to the flamethrower) occupying the handgun slot.
- Anyone hit will be stunned and damaged over a smaller period of time.
- Ignites wooden objects if hit.
- 3 charges with a required reload between shots.
- Maybe a small AoE effect so anyone close to the primary target can also get stunned and damaged.

I really like this feature , because everything is well thought out and it's my favorite weapon . As for electric shock , would it be possible to create this effect and special area stun with triggers ?

Just checked some taser ranges, civilian models go roughly 15ft while police models go 30ft+. There's a version of taser that goes about 100ft, though I doubt that would fit in well with the world of SFD.

Wait, civilian tasers does exists ? How this world hadn't burned down yet ?
Anyway, I'm suggesting so that the taser would disarm target on a direct-hit, so it could turn into a very nice area-denial weapon, assuming it couldn't destroy explosive barrels

Electric shock, huh? Sounds...well zappy.
Maybe the taser should be able to light up broken electric objects, or the player who is hit is lifted into the air and electric shock is seen around him?
Also this could be conductive(ppl within certain range of ppl originally electrocuted or conductively electrocuted would also be electrocuted. If shooter sheathed taser and punches electrocuted guy, they would also be shocked). Also if you have an axe or any metal item in hands you have a higher chance to be electrocuted or something, and non-metallic weapons can block the taser by blocking. Thanks,

i must ask when is the teaser and the teaser gun going to get in SFD? teaser gun must have limited range and a 5sec power, maybe less and realy low damage.

Th... the what? The teaser trailer? Was there a gun that appeared in the trailer that I missed? I’m confused.*Just realised you probably meant taser... is that what you meant? If so I would advocate for a taser gun maybe, but not a taser. The shock baton is already sufficient.

its shocking to me how few puns there are about how electrifying the experience of using the tazer in game would be
I kind of think of it as a shorter range alternate flare gun to use (which would work very well when players try to run or when you yourself are running)
I would very much like to see this it would make a good pro and anti runner weapon.
