Becose you can stop typing when you want to take a picture. I Dont see any problems here... ._.

There are no rules against reporting what you think to be a bug but actually isn't. Only the developers deem what should or shouldn't be in the game. When a dev says it's one or the other, that's when action is taken - locking the thread and moving it to the correct forum subsection, and/or deleting it and issuing a warning.

Some players only have chat be visible once the chat key is pressed, otherwise it stays hidden (F9 to toggle between chat modes). Whenever they want a screenshot with chat included they assume they'll need to have the chat box "selected" and only then take it, which seemingly doesn't work. If I ever need to do that I just hold Z and only then do I press PrntScr to actually take it.

The chat consumed the PrintScreen key (but you can't really type using that key). Fixed after Pre-Alpha 1.10.2b
