It doesn't require you to login or install anything, it's very streamlined.
You can message an individual instead of the whole group by using @Name.
I know there are plenty of Skype and other such "Global Chats" but I thought I would just put this out there.

I'd instead recommending joining the SFD Global Discord server. Discord is growing to be the next Skype, except better. Thanks for making a global chat though!

Yeah I just mentioned this because it requires no setup, you can just check if you recognize someone online and BAM lol.
