Separate resource folders for servers

Post by chelog » Sat Jul 01, 2017 6:38 pm

Hello there. Here's small but very useful thing many of us would like to see in game: Setting maps and scripts folder for each server instance. Currently each server grabs everything from Documents folder but we could host more than one server on different ports so we need to differ content on those. That will really help people host constant servers and increase audience of the game. I suggest either selecting folder inside DS software or just put content inside game folder so if we have several copies of game we could do several content sources. Of course, first one is way better. Thank you for the attention.

We will add the possibility to select a custom config.ini file in the startup commands for the next update for SFD.
Example:
"Superfighters Deluxe.exe" -config "C:\Users\[USER]\Documents\Superfighters Deluxe\config2.ini"
which can be combined with existing "-server" and "-start" arguments.
"Superfighters Deluxe.exe" -server -start -config "C:\Users\[USER]\Documents\Superfighters Deluxe\config2.ini"

This will make you able to select a different port, host options and active scripts if you're hosting multiple servers or just want to switch between configs from day to day.
