There is absolutely no reason to block or censor anything in a bloody and gory shoot up game like SFD.

I agree with not censoring anything, but bloody and gory? this is not mortal combat levels of gore, this is pixelated, cartoony gore. I can easily see responsible, sheltered kids playing SFD since the "gore"(if you can even call it that) isn't very up in your face, I'd let my kids play SFD.

There is certainly an argument to be made to ban words such as "Porn" "Sex" and other such words, at least when used in server names, that don't suit a game with bald stubby fighters blowing each other up, since this game could easily foster a younger demographic

If the devs wanna prevent any future controversies, they could go the responsible route without ruining people's fun by adding a toggleable censorship option, which would replace curses and inappropriate words with stars, or Grawlix to add some personality to the censorship.

But it's up to the devs, really...

I wasn’t equating it to Mortal Kombat lol, but it is a bloody and gory fighting game with literal giblets. I think that’s enough to not enforce that degree of censorship.

You have a point that a realistic view of sexual interaction should probably be abstained, but A. Even if it is included, it’s such a cartoony game that it will almost work out just fine, and B. A graphic sexual scene being added would deviate from the view that many believe in, hence I wouldn’t advocate for such in the first place.

I honestly think Censorship will absolutely ruin the game for me and many others tbh. There is a fine line between censoring those who are just seeking to harass other individuals, and censoring complete words without context.

I guess an option per server is bearable, and sufficient, but I still really don’t think it’s necessary as seeing a single inappropriate word shouldn’t result in such large back lash for the devs and the community.
