New makeshift category: Throwable only
As the game is now, when you pick up a makeshift weapon, you basically pick up a melee weapon with different damage and durability. What I propose, is for makeshift weapons that can only be thrown and not swung. Perhaps something like a dinner plate, but I had propane tanks and fuel cans in mind with this change. Carrying around an explosive like that would still allow it to be shot, so if you're holding the propane tank, try not to get shot. Otherwise, most of these throwing-only weapons wouldn't be shootable by other players.
Other throwing-only makeshifts would be:
-Plates (as listed above)
-Darts
-Shurikens (though I think they're on the way as a slot 4 item)
-Boot
-Bucket
-Shot glass
Any other ideas for throwing-only makeshifts? Let's talk about it.

Haha, what about grenade/mine duds? That would be pretty cool, being able to reposition those and scare people (Woah! He just threw a grenade at me, why isn't it blowing up or dudding?)

It would make sense though if you could catch primed grenades and mines and throw them back instead of just leaving them on the floor.
You could maybe make some fun gamemodes if those sports items were added. Set up some scripts to make a goal for each team and then release a ball in the middle of the map for players to fight over, with maybe special melee "weapons" that launch balls at faster speeds like how baseball bat and grenade work together. Tennis racket could for example launch tennis balls faster then other melee weapons.

I like a lot this thing, but I think it have some disadvantages of adding a lot or all of it. With the actual number of pickable objects, its very frequent a situation when makeshift weapons are hindering to pick the weapon I want. If everything it would be usable, it would be weird, but not if just the best (and a small number) makeshift weapon options are added.

too much makeshift items can be thrown therefore melee is useless because you can just pick up anything

Shuriken should be in slot 4 cause they aren't makeshift weaponry !

- glass (that has water)
- some type of spoon,knife,fork from kitchen
- some type of concrete that need of two persons for get up (can be used in "Team work" xD this is a madness but in some situation)
*obs* Every heavy material will done the player walk slow

Makes sense to carry some items in place of having others, even if they look different, an other slot is not a good idea, shurikens and this kind of weapon should be in slot 4 as throwables in general, I think.

i 100% agree it is kinda funny that i wrote in the suggestions and idea section on the forums with something similar to this and it got taken down for kind of a stupid reason i made a idea suggestion for like 5-6 new weapons and make shift weapons that have there own ability and one of them was actually a coffee cup that can only be thrown and also have the ability to throw the hot coffee at another players face to burn them.
but yeah nice job lunatic i really hope Gurt reads this and considers this i would love to throw a gas tank at another players face or on top of them lol.

What about having weapons MOSTLY used as throwable,but with the possibility of using them in melee?
A good example is the knife. Sure,it deals a good amount of damage,but it's mostly used as a reliable thrown weapon. But this is one of the few examples (if not the only) of weapon that is more usefull when thrown.
In a "real life situation",where a stocky bald man comes at me wielding a katana (happens all the time irl),if I get my hands on a rock,yes,I could decide tho throw it to avoid a melee situation,but if he's too close to me,I could just smash the same rock on his head.
What I'm saying is,not to just limit this kind of weapon to the throwing,but let them be mediocre melee weapons too,maybe removing the possibility of deflecting with them.

The risk I took was caluclated, but man.....am I bad at math.
i totally agree with del poncho! Shurikens,darts,or even plates could be used as melee weapons too,but would break in one hit and would do poor damage

How about a destructo frisbee??The longer it is in air, the more damage it deals. If a player dies because of this, their head gets cut off??
