Picking up a duplicate weapon erases it.

As the title says, if you pick up a baton and you already have a baton, it will not drop but instead erase it. This happens to all weapons and items.

If you're going to make it drop after some fix, it would be nice if we kept the one with the most durability.

I agree. If logic was used when introducing the new drop system - "eating" a weapon and erasing it should be impossible - magically transmuting two melee weapons into a single durable weapon should be impossible too.

Well the solution is to shoot out you're ammo like a crazy 90s rambo like character and then take the weapon
and if it's a melee weapon just try to aim to the closest non returnable pit in the map or to the head of another player fighting another player.

ALSO, along with throws being added, catching a weapon of the same kind doesn't give the fighter the ammo for that weapon, instead dropping it to the ground

Clearly you don't follow the so-called " Common sense " system. A new system was put in place to make weapon distribution huge and give players more guns and a better chance to defend themselves ( As i see it myself ).

The new system makes it so that if you pick up a weapon, let's say a secondary weapon, it will drop the weapon that occupies the secondary slot, if there is one. Same goes for all other slots, even for the slomo items.

If a part of the system doesn't work and the bug is what should've been removed in the update, in this case duplicate weapons get erased, then it's clearly a bug. And if it isn't ( Dont see why it wouldnt be a bug ) then the developer should tell us.

The smartest way would be removing the "Gun's Magazine" And trowing the whole gun away, And taking the magazine with you. (Duh)
But ofcorse there would be a cool down doing that, Maybe even an animation.
This is in my opinion the best idea that would make the most "Logic" In that way, But not eating it.

in the last update 1.10.2b that problem has been removed i just tried it with the uzi and you do stack the ammo of the same uzi

I understand what you mean, but it's still looks like a bug. I dont see how you would call your baton an " extra " since it would still be one if this was fixed.

The plan is to change this so it makes more sense:
When picking up a duplicate melee weapon: You drop your current one.
When picking up a duplicate gun: You get the ammo (like now) and you drop an empty gun which quickly despawns.

Quinterball: Vigorously shaking a tile while rapidly tapping CTRL causes the selected tile to randomly flash red.
