How to make BG Solid Tiles?

Post by Player1 » Tue Aug 02, 2016 12:12 am

I'm making a map and I've been trying to get started coding anyways.
I don't know the functions of the map editor yet, because I just started today.
I already have the map basically made, but I have two platforms I'd like to be moving.

Is there a way to make a BG tile a solid tile?

You could instead weld dynamic invisible blocks to the background tiles and have them move together. There's an idea.

Well you can just easily attach Invissible blocks to the platform and *Boom!* *Bam!* your done :3

To make this work just get the weldjoint thing and weld them together and make sure they are dynamic.

How exactly do I weld objects together? (Sorry for the late reply I get busy)

I already have a map completely done and I want 1 platform to move clockwise and another to move counter clockwise around the map.

Well, it is quite obvious, but use the weldobject thing. Write weld to the search box and that's it. There is a box with "Select targets" or something. Click it and then click the objects you need to weld. To change objects dynamic select it and change Static to Dynamic in the properties!

To get them spinning, use revolutejoint, and if you are new making maps, check the tutorial (press F1).

(sorry for short post, running out of energy on laptop...)
