Building on what KliPeH said, its pretty much impossible for me to win. Just based on the fact that I'll have shit ping on every server (I mean every) apart from Will's. Also, dividing the tournaments up into continents is impractical since that would make it a pretty much washout for anyone not from Brazil.

The tournament battles will be 1v1. The groups will be selected according to the region of the players. I did not expect such a large number of players , but I still intend to do it in the simplest possible way, and I'm sure it will works.

And no, not will be a 'melee' tournament, I will not change the main concept of this tournament and if such is done, should be a new tournament, not that. If the players want to do a melee battle, they can do, according to the rule 9, no problem.

Not exactly, at the beginning, the first battles will be the most possible fair, you will face players who live closer to you first, then, the best from each continent will fight each other until we reach a final.

I believe that players who reach the final will not have problems with time or ping. But there is no way to avoid some problems with ping. This is the best way if you want to face fighters from around the world, after all, that is the purpose of the tournament.

I hope you still want to participate and invite friends from your continent.

No it won't. Don't be silly. It's not a matter of mindset, the game is objectively more difficult if you have bad ping. This is mainly caused by the client-side system which shows you things on your screen that don't actually happen on the server. Bad ping causes delayed actions, including straight up action cancellation, which impacts those reflexes that aid you in target acquisition and melee combat. You also teleport around which screws with your ability to hit/move around objects and hazards, and even other players. I don't need to explain to you why the thing you kids like to shout when you enter every server, "LAG!!!!!!" , is a problem in competitive environments such as this one.

I don't have a problem with rule #2, nor with rule #10; I'm not sure why you're assuming I did. Rule #9 has been modified to be fair now, so I don't have a problem with it either. It used to allow you to request you host the match which decides the outcome of the competition by yourself, and that was a very very bad idea. You can find out why if you take the time to actually read my previous post.

thats way you can recuest youre rival to go to anoter server and get the duel done in a similar ping andddddd there hamachi to make te ping go from 250 to 140 easyly and in mele ping 140 vs ping 1 is bad but this is normal combat you can run.
and i have never had a problem with a ping 140 to win a player in a normal combat and over win in the ratio win

So if the Tournament is not gonna be fair and square to all , people are gonna give excuses which are pretty legitimate. such a competition is not to be called competition.

I was waiting that the people would complain about the rules 2 and 3, which looked very experimental. But the problem was with the rules related to ping problems, everyone who entered this tournament knew they would face people elsewhere in the world. The others, those who have not signed up, stared as completely unfair and that a global tournament in general should not be done, but the main point of this tournament is make this works.

I analyzed the criticism of Klipeh about the tournament and I made some changes in the rules, not exactly an absolute repair, but something that can improve the tournament.

3. If it is confirmed that one of the players is in-active or does not accept to fight even in valid conditions, that player will be disqualified from the tournament and may be replaced by another player who wants to participate.

9. The set rules will also be decided by the players and they should also agree with them, if you do not want to play in a certain condition, you do not need. You can wait a host where both have similar ping or propose the opponent to play on your server, keep this in mind and decide it before fighting. By the way, no typekill or these kind of action is up to your character.
10. One player can not be host if the ping difference is too high. If a player is crazy enough and want to fight in these conditions anyway, I can do nothing, but there is ever a way to make the two players have a similar ping.

After this, I hope to leave the ping problems aside and deal with the other problems that can really hamper the tournament before the 25th.

Since this an unofficial tournament, there is no way to make the players have disposal to play, it's not like the olympic games or something. Besides the fact that it is constantly updating, this is a game, the contestants see this as a hobby, it's not as like they want a trophy to be proud of his family (I say this just in a general view, I know you all will try and play for real to win this tournament, but it's not the same).

That's bull shit , comparing a card tournament with this game is pretty much nonsense , You don't compare a game of cards with a video game where u need is skills not luck ...
but on the same side , in a card game ... it's all about luck and Your Intelligence.
and also , they way u told about the card game , where u get 4 as a poker .... wtf dude , in this SFD Tournament too u can get a freaking bazooka and wipe 3 or 4 people easily , the same way u get 4 as a Poker.
so a bazooka in an enemy's hand + bad ping + No guns in ur hand = Dead , no matter how skilled you are in this game.

so at least u can make this game even more fair by having players with good pings.
So there is also lot of lucky shits in this game like getting 4 as a poker in ur hand , like getting a Bazooka or GL. so u don't to put ping in a Lucky to have list.
